Environment Under Review contributes to sustainable development and human well-being by empowering partners and stakeholders at national, regional and global levels to facilitate the process of planning and designing better environmental policies.
This sub-programme provides information and advice on existing environmental initiatives and successful alliances, and analyses the good practices used.
Environment Under Review works with knowledge platforms and other online services that allow for prompt and easy access to information on the state of the environment and other emerging environmental issues, enabling capacity building and conscious decision making.
This is how the UN Environment Programme, thanks to its expertise in and experience with data analysis and conducting comprehensive environmental evaluations, contributes to the empowerment of social actors in the study and spread of environmental information.
