Global investments in low-carbon energy technologies are growing rapidly, in line with declining costs, but more needs to be done to achieve the scale and speed required to meet our global climate targets. To achieve this, most
of the low-carbon investment required in both developed and developing countries will need to come from private sources, but governments and the international public finance sector must also deploy public finance.
